Why is Kingdom Light building a new centre?
Kingdom Light is establishing a new centre that will serve as a platform for training and equipping of our members and as a base for the church’s community projects. It will enable men and women, children and older adults to be envisioned, equipped and empowered to shine His light in our spheres of influence, the city and the nations of the world. The new centre will allow the English and Chinese language congregations and the children’s church to meet and worship simultaneously on the same site every Sunday.

What is the cost of the new centre?
The total cost of the new centre is $7.5 million. This is comprised of $2.5 million for the purchase of the land and $5 million for the construction of the centre, furnishings as well as consultants and project management fees.

What is the aim of this capital building campaign?
The aim of this campaign is to raise $7.5 million to cover the cost of establishing the new centre in Cockburn Central by 2018.

Why did we choose to establish the centre at Cockburn Central?
The church has been conducting an extensive search for a suitable venue over the past few years based on a number of criteria. These include the size, cost, council requirements, location and proximity to a community and accessibility. The proposed land was identified by the leadership of the church and the building committee to have met these criteria.

When do we hope to have our first Sunday celebration in the new centre?
Lord willing, we hope to hold our first Sunday celebration service in the new centre in 2018.

What will happen to the church’s existing administration office (Lighthouse) in Bentley?
No firm decision has been made regarding the future of the Lighthouse. The church will consider various options for the Lighthouse as the capital building campaign progresses.

How can I contribute to the new centre?
We need you to join us in prayer as we rely on God’s faithfulness to provide the funds for this new building in His perfect time. God is the ultimate supplier for the resources we need and He wants to see His church built even more than we do. You are encouraged to prayerfully consider how much you are able to pledge and give throughout the project as the Lord leads you.

Is my giving tax-deductible?
Taxation advice provided to the church through a tax lawyer has indicated that funds given for the purpose of the new building project is not-tax deductible.
