Kingdom Light has been blessed to officially call Cockburn our home since September 2018, however the dream for this building was birthed many years ago. After having various temporary homes across Perth, a vision for a new centre to bring together multiple congregations of different languages and generations was reawakened after fervent prayers of Kingdom Light leaders.

As such, a Building Committee was formed and soon discovered the block on Tamara Drive which was then miraculously acquired through an option contract of just one dollar! In this circumstance and many others along the entire journey, it is evident that God has paved the way for us to call Cockburn our permanent home. Despite the many challenges along the way, the subsequent building process itself is a testimony of God's faithfulness—the church experienced unsurpassed favour with builders and bankers alike. So much so that the building was completed in July 2018, ahead of schedule and below budget.

Throughout the journey, the church has been united in efforts to raise funds for the building through their own contributions and the sale of homemade food, baked goods and homewares. Thanks to the generosity of many, from within the church and beyond, all costs from the original project have been accounted for.

However, the journey continues. We believe that this is not just an open building fund but an opportunity to invest into the future of our church as God continues to use us as an influence in this city and beyond.
